APC Leaders Pass Vote Of Confidence On Ajimobi As Party Leader In Oyo

Leaders of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Oyo State have passed a vote confidence on the immediate past governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi as the leader of the party in the state.
The leaders across the 33 local government areas of the state also passed vote of confidence on Chief Akin Oke as the state Chairman of the party.
They, however, expressed displeasure over attempts by some members to form caucus groups, and warned party chairmen across the state not to allow any member from setting up sprinter groups in the party.
According to the party, nobody should be allowed to decimate the peace, and unity of the party in the state.
In a communique issued at the end of the extended executive meeting of the party, signed and made available to newsmen in Ibadan yesterday by the party Publicity Secretary, Dr. AbdulAzeez Olatunde, members were warned to distance themselves from setting up caucus groups in the party to avoid the wrath of the party.
While the leaders of the party praised the party chairman and members of the state working committed for their efforts during the electioneering campaign tours, they also stressed the need for reconciliation to appeal and pacify all the aspirants and members to work together in unity.
Therefore, the party leaders charged the local government party chairmen to raise local government reconciliation committee to reconcile all aggrieved party aspirants and members in line with similar exercise being set up by at the state level.
“Members were updated on various petitions before various Tribunals and members were happy that Judgements delivered so far has been justifying the integrity values which APC symbolises.
”The party mandated the party chairmen to warn members from allowing anybody from setting up caucus groups and anybody that goes against this directive would be disciplined in line with the party constitution, no matter how highly placed.
”The State APC Chairman, Chief Akin Oke mandated the local government chapters that had stopped holding their regular weekly meetings to continue forthwith and instructed the 3 senatorial chairmen to pay impromptu visits to the local government areas under their jurisdiction and bring the report to the state office.
”The meeting ratified the appointment of Hon Kehinde Adeleke to assume the position of acting Chairman of APC, LAGELU LG to fill the void created by the demise of Late Alh Raji Raimi, the erstwhile Chairman of APC, Lagelu LG who died recently”, part of the communique read.
In attendance were all the 35 States was executive members and 32 of the 33 local government party chairmen across Oyo State.
