74th Birthday: Sultan Urges Upcoming Journalists To Learn From Najeem Jimoh
The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has congratulated veteran journalist and former Editor of The PUNCH, Alhaji Najeem Jimoh, on the occasion of his 74th birthday anniversary.
The Sultan described Alhaji Jimoh as an accomplished journalist of veteran status and distinguished media professional whose decades of service to journalism and public discourse have contributed significantly to the development of Nigeria’s media industry.
His Eminence commended the journalism icon for his professionalism, courage, discipline and commitment to responsible journalism, noting that his career represents an enduring example of how the media can serve society with integrity while promoting peace, justice and national cohesion.
The Sultan particularly urged young and upcoming journalists to study and emulate the professional values and experiences of Alhaji Najeem Jimoh, saying that the younger generation has much to learn from his long and distinguished career in journalism.
He prayed Almighty Allah to grant Alhaji Jimoh continued good health, wisdom and strength, while wishing him many more years of fruitful service to humanity, the journalism profession and the nation.
