NiDCOM Congratulates Moroti Adegboyega, On Winning 2026 Stockholm Junior Water Prize
Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), has congratulated Moroti Adegboyega on emerging as the overall winner of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize 2026 in Sweden.
Dabiri-Erewa described the achievement as a remarkable feat and a source of pride to Nigeria, noting that Moroti’s success once again demonstrates the talent, innovation and enormous potential of young Nigerians making their mark on the global stage.
She commended the young award winner for bringing honour to Nigeria through his outstanding achievement and for exemplifying the excellence and ingenuity for which Nigerians are increasingly recognised across the world.
Moroti Adegboyega who is the son of the Vice President of the Nigerian Canadian Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (NCANL), further demonstrate the contributions and achievements of Nigerians and their families within diaspora communities.
The NiDCOM Chairman also commended the President of NCANL, Olamide Shodipo, and members of the Nigerian community in Newfoundland and Labrador for their support and for sharing the achievement with the Commission.
Dabiri-Erewa noted that the success of young Nigerians such as Moroti remains an inspiration to other young people and underscores the importance of providing opportunities and support for innovation, education and excellence.
She wished Moroti continued success in his future endeavours and encouraged him to remain a worthy ambassador of Nigeria.
The Chairman reaffirmed NiDCOM’s commitment to celebrating the outstanding achievements of Nigerians in the diaspora and strengthening the connection between Nigeria and its citizens across the world.
