Abiodun, Egbetokun, Royal Fathers Honour Alamutu For Exemplary Service

 

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, and other dignitaries have lauded the retiring Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alamutu, for his exceptional service and dedication to ensuring the safety and security of Nigerians.

At a pull-out parade held in his honour at the Arcade Ground, Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun, represented by his Deputy, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, praised Alamutu for his professionalism and commitment to law enforcement.

“Throughout your career, you have exemplified the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and service to the nation,” Abiodun said.

“Today’s celebration is a testament to a life devoted to making our society safer and better for all. Your career in law enforcement has been marked by courage, integrity, and upholding the law while prioritising the lives of our people.”

Abiodun highlighted Alamutu’s pivotal role in Ogun’s security achievements: “As the 36th CP in Ogun, he navigated the complexities of modern policing with foresight and diligence.

“His tenure was marked by equipping officers with the training and resources needed to excel, fostering trust between law enforcement agencies and the public—a bond indispensable for a safe and harmonious society.”

The governor also underscored that Alamutu’s legacy would endure: “His efforts have not only strengthened the security of Ogun State but have left an indelible mark on society.

“This pull-out parade is not just about years served but a life well lived in the service of others.”

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to security infrastructure and called on all security agencies to maintain their dedication to keeping Ogun State a haven of peace and prosperity.

Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, represented by AIG Adegoke Fayoade, described Alamutu as “a diligent, dedicated, gallant, and hard-working officer who has served the nation meritoriously.”

Fayoade added, “Alamutu is an exceptional and dependable officer who has positively touched countless lives.”

The Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, HRM Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, and the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, commended the outgoing CP for his commitment to ensuring the state’s security.

The royal fathers lauded his integrity and dedication, noting that his approach significantly reduced crime and promoted peace in Ogun.

In his remarks, CP Abiodun Alamutu reflected on his career, describing it as “a journey filled with challenges, triumphs, and unwavering commitment toward ensuring peace and security.”

He expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Abiodun for their support of the Nigeria Police Force.

He urged officers still in service to remain dedicated to their duties and uphold the values of integrity.
