Osun IPAC Set To Honour Akande, Adeleke, Oyinlola, Aregbesola Others
For their meritorious service as governors in Osun State, the state chapter of Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has concluded plan to honour past and present civilian governors in the state.
Those to be honoured at the event include Senator Isiaka Adeleke, who would bag post humorous award, Chief Bisi Akande, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola and the incumbent governor, Asiwaju Ademola Adeleke.
The chairman of IPAC in Osun, Pastor Victor Akande who disclosed this at a press conference in Osogbo yesterday said the political platform has put machinery in motion to celebrate IPAC Day in the state on December 5, 2024, the first of its kind.
According to him, when the group considered the sterling attributes and the great contributions of the governors, they felt that the beneficiaries deserved their honour so as to serve as an encouragement for the coming generations.
He noted that the programme is targeted at the politicians who were excellent administrators, politicians of repute, and men who did their best in turning around the business, economic, social and political scenario of Osun State.
His words: “During their times, they rendered impeccable services that touched the lives of the people of the state in a remarkable way and history will forever be grateful to them.
“Some of them have proven their integrity as good ambassadors of Osun State at the federal level and we need to let them know that we are monitoring them closely
Akande who defended the exclusion of military administrators from the honourees said IPAC was out to celebrate inclusive governance and democracy.
