TRACE Boss Calls For Improved Synergy Among Security Outfits
The need for security outfits to jointly harness intelligence with a view to improving the security architecture in Ogun State has been emphasised.
The Commander and Chief Executive, Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) made this known when he received the new Director General, State Security Service (SSS) Ogun Command, Dr. Folasade Arikayoja at the Agency’s headquarters, Ibara, Abeokuta.
Commander Ogunyemi, in a statement signed by Mrs. Temitope Akinbola, Press Officer, TRACE, stated that efforts to enhance security intelligence for the safety of lives and property of residents should be at the front burner, as well as sustenance of synergy among sister agencies at the State and federal levels for enhanced working relationships.
He said,’’ There is no gainsaying that for the goal of the security mandate to be met, every hand must be on deck, meaning that the security outfits need to work together for seamless operation”.
He pointed out that TRACE, as a social security organisation was saddled with the responsibility of controlling and managing traffic, as well as vehicular movements in all the State’s corridors, assuring that his officers and men would not relent in ensuring safety on the roads at all times.
In her remarks, Dr. Arikayoja said effective collaboration among security organisations, and constant capacity building with modern-day security techniques were crucial.
She noted that security matters could not be handled with levity, calling for cross-fertilisation of ideas among the agencies saddled with security in the State.
