Kano Gov Reinstates Revenue Boss Removed By Ganduje
The Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, has reinstated the former Executive Chairman of the state Internal Revenue Service, Sani Sambo.
The reinstatement of the KIRS boss, who was previously sacked by the former governor of the state, Abdullahi Ganduje, over corruption allegations, was announced on Friday by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Sanusi Tofa, after overturning the suspension.
He is currently a senior manager of Tax Audit at the Federal Inland Revenue Services in Abuja and remained a fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Taxation with 20 years of experience in tax administration.
The governor expressed confidence in Dambo’s abilities and emphasised the importance of fostering a transparent and accountable government.
He added, “We believe that Alhaji Sani Abdulkadir Dambo is the right person to lead the Kano Internal Revenue Service. His vast experience and expertise in tax administration will contribute significantly to our ongoing efforts to improve revenue generation and enhance the overall economic development of the state.”
