Imo: Gunmen Kill APC Presidential Campaign Council Member

Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen have killed a member of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Captain Tony Enoch, in Awomama Technical School, Imo State.

The murdered Enoch was said to be from Oru East Local Government Area, the LG the state governor, Hope Uzodimma, hails from.

A retired military officer, Enoch, who doubled as the Coordinator for the Grow Orlu Project, a political structure of the Senator-elect of the Imo West Senatorial District, Osita Izunaso, was said to have been killed on his way from the APC stakeholders meeting held at the Oru- East council headquarters.

The gunmen reportedly ambushed Enoch and ordered him to park his car before he was shot three times in the head and dumped in the booth, where blood traces were seen under the abandoned car.

When contacted, the spokesperson for the state police, Henry Okoye, said he had yet to be briefed about the incident but promised to make inquiries.
