Abiodun Celebrates Youths To Mark National Youths Day

 

The Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has said the future of the Youth is paramount to his present administration, hence it’s desire to focus on their development in all the States developmental  programmes.

Abiodun, who was represented by his deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, according to the Press Officer Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mrs  Dupe Odeniyi, made this known at the year 2022 National Youth celebration held at the cultural centre kuto, Abeokuta.

Abiodun said the administration “ISEYA” mantra is aimed to engender development of the State to benefit all categories of ages especially the youths.

“Indeed, we created so many opportunities for our young ones in all sectors such as ICT, Education, Agriculture, Sports, Trade and investment among others, for all round posterity and better future for our youths,” the governor said

In his welcome address, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde, said the issues around young people has been brought to the front burner, so that it could be addressed accordingly through this celebration. 

The Commissioner said the theme for the programme is apt as the State government  has used  the “ISEYA” mentra to curb social vice among  the youths through provision of employment opportunities among  other things to enable the young ones excel in life and be employer of labour.

The panel of discussants which include the deputy Chief of staff, Dr. Toyin Taiwo, Commissioner for Industry, Trade and investment, Mrs. Kikelomo Longe, Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu, Jamiu Akande Omoniyi, and their counterpart in Culture and Tourist, Hon. Adijat Oladapo spoke respectively on the impart of their respective agencies on youths as regards the “ISEYA” mantra of the state government 

The state Chairman, National Youth council, Comrade Abduljabaar Ayelangbe appreciated the State government for using the programme to bring all youths together under the same umbrella to discuss issues that affect their lives.
