Ebonyi, Chinese Company Signs MoU To Establish $4m Solar Power Factory In Abakaliki

Ebonyi State Government has signed a memoradum of agreement with the team of Chinese of fonshan Sunchees Technology Company Limited to established 4 million dollars solar power factory in the state.
Governor Umahi who represented by his Deputy Governor Barr Kelechi Igwe during the signing of the Memorandum of agreement at the Executive Chamber, Government House Abakaliki.
Umahi stated that the signing of the agreement was to enable the Chinese company establish a factory to manufacturing solar panels energy towards industrialising the state.
” There cannot be any meaningful industrial development of any State where there is no power and energy,
because the vision of the Governor is to make Ebonyi State become a leading State in Nigeria in terms of industrialization.
Umahi pledged the Chinese company of the State Government’s readiness and preparedness to abide with the terms of the agreement based on the project and also assured the company that the Government would monitor the execution of the work until the project executed in Ebonyi state.
In his Remarks, The leader of the Chinese team, of fonshan sunchees Technology company limited, Mr Jack Chen,
pledged the readiness of the Company to supply 4million dollars solar power to the state and Nigeria. He further assured to make Ebonyi State the power source of the nation.
Those that witnessed the signing of agreement on behalf the state government includes; The Attorney General, the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, as well as the Secretary to State Government, Hyginus Nwokwu, while
the 13 local government chairmen also participated signing the project agreement .
