Adeola Agoro Undying Support For Udom Emmanuel
She is a voice to be reckoned with as far as media is concerned in Nigeria.
Apart from that, she is also a well known figure and a big socialites not only in Abuja the capital city of Nigeria but across the country.
Her name is Alhaja Adeola Agoro a former Society Editor of The Nation newspapers and now media consultant to several government agencies.
At an event tagged ‘Support for Good Governance in Nigeria’, which she put together at the Central Business District, Abuja to encourage elites, especially the women and youths in this class to go for their voters cards as a way of being empowered to vote for the right people in the coming 2019 general elections, the journalist/author and a very big figure in Abuja said, “We need to start supporting those who are making administrative reforms in the country. It’s not enough to identify and eulogies them, we should join hands to support what they’re doing.
‘The governor of Akwa Ibom State for instance stands out as one person who is blazing the trail as far as good governance is concerned. He knows what it is to be at the helm of affairs of a state and understands what components are needed to have a well structured government and he is putting all the arsenals available at his disposal to achieve the best as far as good governance is involved.”
According to the conveyer of the ‘Support for Good Governance in Nigeria’, most of the states you visit in Nigeria lack basic amenities and the signs are evident for all to see that most states lack the will to provide basic services.
She said most people, especially the elites have become providers of basic facilities and services in their environments and as a result, they have lost confidence in the ability of their governments to provide the main amenities
“This is the reason we are embracing the ones who are making great efforts to make work in their states. Governor Udom Emmanuel has gone into action in the state and has taken giant strides to address some of the mismanagement of public funds he met. As an astute banker and administrator, he is equipped with what it takes to raise the low capacity government functionaries he met to transforming it to an efficient one. This is not about hype in the media as occasioned by past administrations but by real achievements. Such a man should be supported and hailed”, Agoro said.
Governor Udom Emmanuel has been named by the journalist as one of the leading lights in the country who are adapting developmental and administrative framework in making Nigeria one country to be proud of.
