NiMet predicts sunny, hazy, weather for Thursday

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted sunny and hazy weather conditions over central states of the country on Thursday.
NiMet made the prediction in the Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Wednesday.
It said that the region would also have day and night time temperatures of 34 to 38 degrees Celsius and 15 to 22 degrees respectively with exception of Jos city with 28 to 13 degrees Celsius.
The agency predicted that the southern states will experience cloudy morning with partly cloudy skies over the inland cities later in the day.
It also predicted prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Obudu, Ogoja, Ikom, Umuahia, Owerri, Asaba, Warri, Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Yenagoa and Eket axis in the evening and night hours.
NiMet noted that Southern states will have day and night time temperatures of 32 to 35 and 20 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively during the forecast period.
According to NiMet, northern states will experience dust haze with with poorer visibility values expected over Sokoto, Gusau, Nguru and Maiduguri axis.
NiMet predicted: “The region will have day and night time temperatures of 34 to 37 degrees Celsius and 14 to 21 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Extreme Northern cities are expected to remain under dust haze condition in moderate horizontal visibility while the Southern cities should experience cloudy conditions with prospects of isolated thunderstorms along the coast.”
