Weather will be sunny, cloudy on Sunday – NiMet

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted sunny and hazy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Sunday.
NiMet made the prediction in the Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office on Saturday in Abuja.
It said that the central region would have day time temperatures ranging from 29 degrees Celsius to 35 degrees Celsius and night time temperatures of between 11degrees Celsius and to 24 degrees Celsius.
The agency also predicted that the southern states would experience cloudy to partly cloudy morning with day and night time temperatures of 33 degrees Celsius to 35 degrees Celsius and 21 degrees Celsius to 24 degrees Celsius.
It stated that there were prospects of localized thunderstorms over most parts of the cities like Calabar, Port Harcourt and Eket in the afternoon and evening hours.
According to NiMet, northern states will experience dust haze conditions with chances of reduced horizontal visibilities of about three to five kilometres.
NiMet predicted: “The region will have day time temperatures of 34 degrees Celsius to 37 degrees and night time temperatures of 13 degrees Celsius to 20 degrees Celsius.
“Dust haze is expected over the Northern cities reducing horizontal visibilities with increased dryness over the country.
“However, partly cloudy-to-cloudy weather is anticipated over some parts of the south with isolated thunderstorms in few cities in the next 24 hours.”
