6 Dies In Fatal Road Accident In Osun
No fewer than six persons lost their lives yesterday in a fatal motor accident along Ikirun-Otan-Ayegbaju road in Boluwaduro Local Government area of Osun state.
The lone accident that involved a missionary bus with registration number: LAGOS GGE 109 DY occurred at about 11 am.
The driver of the bus that belongs to SS Peter and Paul, Lagers, Ile Ife lost control and rammed into a ditch at Eripa town area.
FRSC officials were said to have arrived at the scene and evacuated the accident victims from the bus with the help of residents of the community.
The remains of those who lost their lives in the accident were deposited in Ladoke Akintola University Of Technology Teaching Hospital, Osogbo (LAUTECH) mortuary.
It was gathered that the Injured victims were first treated at a private hospital in Iree and later moved to (LAUTECH) where they are currently receiving treatment.
Police Public Relations Officer in Osun, Mrs Folashade Odoro said that the State Commissioner of Police has directed an investigation into the cause of the accident.
