5 Students Nabbed For Gang Raping Colleague

Five students of Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo have been arrested by the Ondo State Police Command for allegedly raping a female colleague.
The suspects are Akinola Timilehin, Olagbaju Tobi, Adetuyi Olakunle, Adeyemi Adebisi and Eric Nwage .
The suspects, according to police committed the offence last week Monday at Road 17, Funbi-Fagun Housing Estate, Ondo city.
It was also gathered that the victim allegedly raped by the suspects one after the other is a student in the Department of History/English of the institution.
Parading the suspects at the police headquarters along Igbatoro road in  Akure, the state capital on Wednesday, the Commissioner of Police, Mrs. Hilda Harrison, said the suspects also recorded the illicit sexual act on video, threatening to upload the footage online if the victim reported the matter to anybody.
According to the police boss, the victim has been taken to Ile-Ife, Osun State where she is receiving treatment.
According to her, the suspects would be charged to court after investigation.
Her words: “ The victim was raped and during the act, one of the suspects Adetuyi Adekunle did the video recording of the heinous crime as they took on their victim one after the other and later abandoned her to go with a threat that they would use charms on her if she revealed the incident to anyone.
“The case was reported to the school (ACE) authority and the suspects were arrested. The case has been transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation.”

The Public Relations Officer of the college, Mr. Moses Akinfolarin, while commenting on the matter  said he was unaware of the incident.

He said, “I’m  just hearing it for the first time as you are telling me now, I am not aware of such incident on this campus.”
