5 Die, 2 Injured In Ondo Road Accident
At least five people were on Sunday confirmed dead in an auto crash that occurred at Awoyaya KM 17 Ife garage Road, Ondo in Ondo West local government area of the state.
It was learnt that the auto crash which occurred at the early hours of the day was said to have left another two people injured.
The deceased have been deposited at the General hospital, Ondo, while the injured were said to have been rushed to the Trauma centre Ondo for proper treatment.
It was gathered that the driver of the Volkswagen Sharon private car, identified as Sunday Dickson and other four passengers died on the spot, while the whereabouts of the trailer and other driver was unknown as at the time of this report.
The Head of Operations, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ondo State Command, Mr Olusegun Ogungbemide and a statement from Enu Owa Police Division in Ondo town, confirmed the tragic incident.
According to them, the accident happened around 4: am and involved two vehicles, a private Volkswagen car and a trailer.
While they all silent about the cause of the accident, they, however, maintained that the whereabouts of the driver and trailer is not known yet.
