4 Arrested For Murder, Cultism In Ekiti

 

Ekiti State Police Command has arrested 29-year old Gbenga Aluko and three others in connection with alleged cultism and murder.

According to a statement by the Command’s Police Commissioner, Mr. Asuquo Amba, in Ado Ekiti Friday, Aluko and three others, who are members of Eiye confraternity, were allegedly involved in the killing of members of Black Axe, Aye confraternity, a rival secret cult, in Ekiti and Ondo states in recent time.

Other members of the cult arrested by Special Anti Robbery Squad are Ayodele Ayodeji, 31; Olamide Olurunsola, 43, and Adewale Adekunle, 23, all from Ifaki-Ekiti, while others escaped.

The Commissioner revealed that Aluko confessed further that he surrendered his gun to a prominent king in Ondo State in 2017, but that his claim was found to be false.

According to Amba, ”investigation revealed that the suspect had been using one Toyota Camry car with number plates KJA 710 FF to perpetrate the killings.

The said vehicle has been recovered and in custody.”

Amba said one cutlass, charms, one laptop, a foreign woman’s photograph, and three phones were recovered from the suspects.
