3 Die In Osun Auto-crash
At least three persons were on Monday confirmed dead in a ghastly motor accident which occurred at Moro junction along Ife/lbadan expressway in lfe North local government area of Osun state.
The accident occurred at about 12.30 pm when the driver of a luxurious passenger bus allegedly drove against traffic by taking a wrong lane and thereby hitting an oncoming motorcycle carrying two passengers.
Two of the three people on the motorcycle died immediately while the other victim who was rushed to the hospital for treatment was said to have died later in the hospital.
The two passengers on the motorcycle were said to be returning to Ife town after writing the post UTME examinations of the Obafemi Awolowo University at the Moro campus of the institution.
Osun State Commandant of Federal Road Safety Corps Mr Peter Oke who confirmed the death of two people said that his men were deployed to the scene of the accident immediately to carry out rescue operation.
He admonished road users to observe traffic rules strictly and adhere to speed limit.
Speaking, the Public Relations Officer of OAU, Abiodun Olanrewaju bemoaned the accident and charged motorists to comply with traffic regulations and also sympathized with the family of the deceased.
