2019 Hajj: Abiodun Urges Ad-hoc Committee, Civil Servants On Synergy

2019 Hajj: Abiodun Urges Ad-hoc Committee, Civil Servants On Synergy

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has urged 10 Man ad-hoc committee and civil servants in the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board to work as a team to ensure successful 2019 hajj operations.

Abiodun gave the advice while inaugurating 10 Man ad-hoc committee for hajj operations at Governor’s office conference room oke mosan Abeokuta saying both party should endeavor to build a working team in the board so that Pilgrims from Ogun state will have an enjoyable, spiritually and uplifting hajj exercise.

His words: it is imperative that,this committee hits the ground running to ensure that this year’s hajj programme shows a remarkable improvement on past experience. It is also important that government continues to ensure a hitch-free hajj programme and that is the job of the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.

He enjoined the committee to fear God and be committed to the responsibilities assigned to them adding that hajj is an important institution as the fifth pillar of Islam.

“You must realize that you have been carefully selected from a pool of equally dedicated and spiritually upright Muslims. You must also realise that you are not just performing a duty to people, but to God,our creator”, he said.

He appealed to all religious leaders to continue praying for the state and the nation as a whole for the peace and tranquility.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the committee, Imam Mufutau Majekodunmi thanked and appreciated Governor for the appointment promising to discharge their duties as expected of them.

The committee are; Imam Mufutau Majekodunmi as chairman,Alhaji AbdulGafar Orunsolu,Imam Rufai Sile, Alhaji Misbau Salako,Alhaji Tijani Hassan Ishola,Alhaji Tunde Oladunjoye, Dr(Mrs.) Raheemat Oloyede,Hon.Kamaru Oduntan, Alhaja Bisola Aliu as members while Alhaji AbdulYekin Arimiyau Parakoyi as Amirul- Hajj.
