10 Arrested For Stabbing Man Multiple Times In Bauchi

Officials of the Bauchi State Police Command have arrested no fewer than 10 suspected thugs for allegedly attacking and stabbing a 27-year-old man multiple times with dangerous weapons.

The incident was said to have occurred in March 2023 when the victim was relaxing with his friends in the morning at Sabon Kaura, a suburb of the Bauchi metropolis.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists.

Wakil, a Superintendent of Police, narrated, “On May 20, 2023, at about 11:00 am, one Mustapha Mohammed, male (27) of Sabon Kaura, reported at Operation Restore Peace Office, State Headquarters, Bauchi, that sometime in March 2023, while he was relaxing with his friends in the morning hours at Sabon Kaura, some thugs armed with dangerous weapons numbering about 15, attacked them and stabbed him on his back, hand and head.”

He said that the victim identified the suspects as Abdulsalam Amadu (19), Umar Ibrahim (23), Abdulrazak Sallau (20), Abdulaziz Suleiman (19), Lukman Hassan (18), Safiyanu Idris (20), Zalani Haladu (21), Abdulhamid Mohd (20), Habibu Danlami (20) and Saifullahi Idris (20), all males and residents of Sabon Kaura.

“On receipt of the report, the detectives attached to Operation Restore Peace team acted on the credible intelligence and arrested the aforementioned suspects.

“During interrogation, all the suspects confessed to have committed the crime. The investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being intensified to apprehend their accomplices, as the suspects would be charged to court for prosecution on completion of the investigation,” he stated.
